In
July of 1998, Michael was offered another high paying job at a club moved back
to Las Vegas to work. He hoped to settle the lawsuit and continue
his career in Los Angeles. Michael worked hard; sharing
a residence with roommates both in LA and Las Vegas. During
his bi-weekly four hour commute, Michael used lots of
cell phone minutes talking with his family.

Los
Angeles, April 1999
|
In April of 1999, Michael's immediate family
visited him in Los Angeles and he spent some time showing
us around town. This was the last time we saw Michael. On
the phone Michael told us that he wanted to come to Rhode
Island on July 4th for a family reunion but that he had
to work.
|
Michael's body was discovered on July 6th, 1999. The police
reported that although it appeared that someone had subdued and tortured Michael,
there was no substantial evidence left behind
by assailants at the crime scene and after a few days, ceased
their investigation. Our efforts for further investigation
were met with resistance and the family was left with many
unanswered questions about the crime scene and suspicious circumstances
of his death.
Nothing will ever bring Michael back, but our hopes are
that as time passes, the truth about his passing will find
it's way to us.

Michael will always be with us in our hearts
